Ensuring that both products and equipment are kept free of water-borne pathogens is an ongoing challenge for dairy manufacturers. Water is ubiquitous throughout the various manufacturing processes and presents microorganisms with a convenient transport medium with which they can reach all points along the production line. Thus, microorganisms typically troublesome to dairy production, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Listeria and Coliforms, originating at the inlet or entering the system due to insufficiently treated process water, have numerous opportunities to infiltrate and contaminate the product line. Fully automated Monitoring and Control software continuously measures water transmissivity and lamp intensity and receives real-time readings of water flow rate. The system automatically adjusts the required disinfection dose To meet fluctuating conditions. Manufacturers are secure knowing their water is microbe-free, will not cause product spoilage and will contribute to achieving high product quality.
